About GW's Summer & Conference Housing Program for Summer 2013
The George Washington University is the premier Summer & Conference Housing Program in the Washington, DC region. Conference and Intern Groups as well as individual guests from all over the world have chosen The George Washington University to meet their housing needs for over 35 years. We take great pride in offering convenient, flexible, and affordable housing options to individuals as well as Short- and Long-Term stay groups throughout the Summer.
Situated in the lower Northwest quadrant of the District of Columbia, The George Washington University's Foggy Bottom Campus is minutes away from Dupont Circle, the Georgetown shopping and restaurant corridor, and the Golden Triangle business district. Our Foggy Bottom campus has neighbors such as the Kennedy Center, State Department, The World Bank, The International Monetary Fund Headquarters, in addition to being just a few blocks away from the White House and the National Mall.
Individual Guests, Long-Term Stay Groups, and larger Short-Stay Groups will find an unparalleled "neighborhood life" like nowhere else in Washington, DC when choosing accommodations on our Foggy Bottom Campus! The mix of shopping, dancing, dining, entertainment, and nightlife within a mile radius of GW's Foggy Bottom campus adds to the experience of staying at GW. The added bonus of two Metro stops adjacent to campus (Foggy Bottom-GWU and Farragut West, both on the Blue and Orange Lines) creates convenient access to most points of interest better than any other Summer & Conference Housing Program in the region.
GW also offers a less urban, more pastoral setting on our Mount Vernon Campus, located approximately three miles from the Foggy Bottom Campus, still within the District of Columbia. This campus is a more intimate, traditional college campus environment offering residence halls, classroom space, a dining facility, athletic fields, and a majestic grassy quad. The Mount Vernon Campus is the ideal location for a Short-Stay Conference Group looking for a more intimate experience while still being able to easily access all that makes Washington, DC great!
