The George Washington University takes great pride in opening up our residence halls during the Summer months to individuals and groups that are visiting the Washington, DC region.  Situated in the heart of downtown and easily accessible by Metro, The George Washington University can offer housing accommodations that are convenient to most points of interest in the region better than any other college in the region. 

Summer & Conference Housing accommodations at GW are available for Conference Groups, Intern Groups, GW affiliated groups, and individual students participating in a structured internship or volunteer experience in the Washington, DC area and/or attending GW's Summer School.  We specifically look to support non-profit, educationally oriented groups and individuals coming to the Washington, DC region with an educationally-focused purpose.  GW Housing Programs does not provide housing to tourists, temporary or transient individuals, or for participants of conferences or conventions held by for-profit companies or corporations.  

The GW Housing Programs, Summer & Conference Housing Administrative Offices are open from 8:30am to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday between the months of September and mid-May.  Administrative Office hours are extended to 8:00am to 10:00pm daily during the Summer season.   Our staff can be reached either by telephone at: 202.994.6883 or by e-mail at: sumhouse@gwu.edu.
