Summer and Conference Housing Locations

The George Washington University organizes its residence halls into distinct categories as part of our Summer & Conference Housing Program.  All buildings on campus are air-conditioned and most include private bathrooms.  While each of our halls is distinct, guests will find a common level of amenities among the halls represented within each category.  The different building types include traditional dormitory-style rooms, apartment-style rooms and small townhouses for Greek-affiliated guest.

More information about each building type can be found in the fly-out menus on the left.

Short-stay Conference Hall rooms provide the feel of a more traditional dormitory-style room.  Most conference rooms include a private bathroom or share a bathroom with another room.  This is an ideal accommodation for the short-stay conference group guest, who seeks a comfortable place to sleep and socialize.

Long-stay Building Group 1 rooms are traditional dormitory style housing with common floor or private bathrooms.

Long-stay Building Group 2 rooms have a private bathroom, kitchen, and are set up studio-style as one large living space.

Long-stay Building Group 3 rooms offer the greatest level of amenities of our shared-occupancy rooms.  All rooms have kitchens and a private bathroom(s).  Rooms are 1 to 2 bedroom apartments, where the bedrooms are separate from the living/kitchen space.

Long-stay Building Group 4 rooms offer the single occupancy accommodations.  These rooms have a range of amenities from a common floor bathroom, to a single room with a private bathroom, to a single room with a kitchen and a private bathroom.

GW Students affiliated with particular Greek-letter organizations can reside in townhouses in Greek Townhouse Row or one of several stand alone Townhouses on our Foggy Bottom Campus for Summer 2010.  Fraternity or sorority members should work directly with their House Managers. For more information please refer to the Greek Housing Options page of this site. (coming soon!)
