Summer Guests Needing Special Housing Accommodations

GW offers a limited number of spaces in some of its residence halls to meet ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) requirements.  GW's inventory includes wheelchair-accessible rooms with private bathrooms to accommodate persons with limited mobility, and rooms with visual alerts to accommodate persons with limited hearing.

GW Housing Programs has consulted the office of Disability Support Services to confirm that the ADA housing offerings will meet the service needs of our summer guests.  During the reservation process, both groups and individuals are queried to assess any potential ADA needs.  Our service offerings focus meeting the needs of our summer guests with audio and mobility impairments, and our available rooms are available upon request.  Other needs are considered on a case-by-base basis.

Wheelchair Accessible Rooms are available in the following buildings.
Intern Buildings: 1959 E Street, Amsterdam Hall, Greek Townhouse Row, Ivory Tower, South Hall
Conference Buildings: Potomac House, Somers, Thurston

Strobe Light Equipped Rooms are available in the following buildings.
