Individuals Building Group 3

Building Group 3 includes all of the full apartment options.  In these halls the bedrooms are a defined space with a separate living room and kitchen in-suite.  This option is popular with interns who are seeking a community living experience with their roommates, but still want to maintain some privacy with separate bedrooms.

Options in Building Group 3 Apartments include:

  • Furnished with a bed, mattress, dresser, desk, chair, wardrobe or closet, and a dining table and chairs
  • Private in-suite bathroom(s)
  • A kitchen with a microwave, stove, oven, dishwasher, and refrigerator
  • Air conditioning

1959 E Street is located next door to the Elliot School of International Affairs, the State Department, and just a couple blocks from the National Mall. The building also features a rooftop terrace with beautiful views of the District.

Dakota received a comprehensive renovation in 2014 with upgraded kitchens, bathrooms, floors, and furnishings and offers the only 3 person units in Building Group 3.  Just a block away from the American Red Cross Headquarters and close to the State Department and National Mall, Dakota Hall is conveniently located to many city landmarks.

District House opened in the fall of 2016 incorporating the facade of three former halls into what is now GW's second largest residence hall. Located in the heart of campus, and only one block from the Foggy Bottom - GWU Metro Station, guets booking Building Group 3 apartments will enjoy a 2 bedroom 4-person unit with a living room, two full in-suite bathrooms, and a full kitchen.  The lower levels include lounge and meeting spaces as well as dining and retail spaces open to the public. The dining venues include Wiseguy NY Pizza, Beef ’n’ Bread, Chick-fil-A, GRK Fresh Greek, and Sol Mexican Grill.  Pete's Coffee is located street level at the I “Eye” St. entrance.
