The George Washington University provides convenient and affordable housing for Short-term stay groups on the Foggy Bottom and Mount Vernon Campus' for reservations between 3-20 consecutive nights.


The Mount Vernon Campus

The Mount Vernon Campus is host to short-stay summer groups and provides a traditional campus experience, while still offering access to everything the Nation’s Capital has to offer. The campus is spread over 25 acres in the wooded Foxhall neighborhood in Northwest Washington, D.C. It  includes six residence halls, over 50,000 square feet of meeting and event space, a traditional dining hall, and reservable outdoor athletic facilities.

The Mount Vernon Campus is surrounded by embassies, diplomatic residences, and residential homes, with the Kreeger Museum of Art located just down the street. A short 10 to 15 minute shuttle ride through the historic Georgetown and Foxhall neighborhoods connects Foggy Bottom and the Mount Vernon Campus to create one seamless GW experience.

The Foggy Bottom Campus

During the Summer season, our Foggy Bottom campus has one residence hall dedicated to hosting Short-Stay Groups.  Located in downtown Washington D.C., this campus contains more than 100 university buildings, including 26 residence halls, that span over 42 acres. Only blocks away from the White House, National Mall, State Department, and Kennedy Center, this location is ideal for groups whose schedule takes them off campus and into the city for most of their conference program. The Foggy Bottom Metro station is conveniently located on campus and provides easy access across the city via the Orange, Blue, and Silver Lines.
