Long-Stay Guests (21+ Nights)

If you are a member of a Long Stay Group or a Long Stay Individual Guest please follow these simple steps to connect to the wireless internet:

  1. Make sure your Wi-Fi is turned on
  2. Join the GWConnect wireless network
  3. Open a browser window and try to navigate to a webpage to load the GWConnect log-in page
  4. Use the Courtesy NetID (GWC-example) and password you created when making your housing reservation to log-in to the wireless network
  5. Read and accept the terms of use, select continue to connect. 

If you haven't already, please create a Courtesy Netid. You must use the same email address listed when making your housing reservation.

Short-Stay Guests (3-20 nights)

If you are a member of a Short Stay Group, please follow these simple steps to connect to the wireless internet:

  1. Make sure your Wi-Fi is turned on
  2. Connect to the GWConnect wireless network
  3. Open a browser window and try to navigate to a webpage to load the GWConnect log-in page
  4. Create a guest account under "Self Registration" which grants network access for 72 hours per registration

Printing

Summer guests can print via the Colonial Printing kiosks located around both the Foggy Bottom and Mount Vernon campus' with most major credit cards. Colonial Printing allows you to print from your computer, tablet, smart phone, or directly from a USB drive.  Make sure you can access the kiosk that you send your print job to, kiosks located in residence halls are only accessible to the residents of that building. 


Telephone Service

All residence halls have local telephone service in each room and apartment although a physical phone is not provided.  Long distance service is not available through the university, but long distance calls may be placed by charging the call to a long distance calling card from a commercial long distance service, by calling collect or by charging calls to a third party.
