The George Washington University is the largest Summer Housing provider to groups and individuals in the Washington, D.C. region. Guests from all over the world have chosen GW to meet their housing needs for over 40 years because of our central location in D.C., safe and convenient campus, and competitive amenities. GW will be fully open for Summer 2025 and we are excited to welcome summer guests and groups to campus.
Our location in the heart of the Nation’s Capital is ideally situated for guests to take full advantage of everything that is available in D.C. The Foggy Bottom Campus
During the Summer season, our Foggy Bottom campus hosts all of our Individual Guests, Long-Stay Groups, and GW Short-Stay Groups. Located in the midst of Washington D.C., this campus contains more than 100 university buildings, including 26 residence halls, that span over 42 acres. This campus includes reservable classrooms, meeting rooms, outdoor spaces, and many more services to support your conference or event.
Only blocks away from the White House, National Mall, State Department, and Kennedy Center, our location is ideal for exploring, enjoying, and immersing yourself in all of the history and pageantry that is the D.C. summer experience. The Foggy Bottom Metro station is conveniently located on campus and provides easy access across the city via the Orange, Blue, and Silver Lines. Whether hanging out in Kogan Plaza or studying in the shadow of the Washington Monument, you will find plenty of reasons to consider D.C. and GW your home away from home.
