Summer 2026 Arrival
We are excited to have you join us on campus this summer! We hope the following information will help you plan for a smooth and stress-free arrival.

Your Check-In Location
As you prepare for your arrival in Washington, DC, and the Foggy Bottom neighborhood, your check-in location and directions will depend on the day and time you arrive. At check-in, you must:
- Confirm that you have paid the total amount of your housing cost
- Check-in with our staff and set up your access to campus buildings, or complete your Mobile ID set-up before you arrive.
- Check out one of our blue-carts to help you move in

Visitor Parking Garage
Hourly visitor parking is available in the Science and Engineering Hall 24/7. The parking garage is located on H St. between 22nd and 23rd Streets. You can use the following address for Fulbright Hall, which is directly next to the garage entrance, to guide you to the correct street and block.

- Street Parking: Limited street parking is available at metered spots. Please be sure to obey all D.C. Residential Parking Permit and Zone regulations.
Summer 2026 Departure
Each summer resident must depart by the end date and time your group liaison selected when booking your GW housing. The latest possible departure date for summer interns is Saturday, August 8 at 11 am.
Instructions for Summer Check-Out:
- Make sure to remove all personal belongings and trash from your room prior to your departure.
- Once you have departed, submit the required Check-Out Form which can be accessed via your Summer Home Portal. Filling out this form will shut off access to your room, so do not submit your Check-Out Form until you have departed your room for the final time.
- You are not required to physically check out with our summer housing staff. However, if you have been using a physical card to access your summer room, you must return this card to the Amsterdam Hall Front Desk (2350 H St NW) before you leave campus for the final time.
