We are excited to have you join us on campus this summer! We hope the following information will help you plan for a smooth and stress-free arrival.

Please check the Traveling to Campus page for directions on getting to campus from local area airports or Union Station.

 

 Your Check-In Location

As you prepare for your arrival in Washington, DC, and the Foggy Bottom neighborhood, your check-in location and directions will depend on the day and time you arrive. At check-in, you must:

  • Confirm that you have paid the total amount of your housing cost
  • Check-in with our staff and set up your access to campus buildings
  • Check out one of our blue-carts to help you move in

Visitor Parking Garage

Hourly visitor parking is available in the Science and Engineering Hall 24/7.  The parking garage is located on H St. between 22nd and 23rd Streets.  You can use the following address for Fulbright Hall, which is directly next to the garage entrance, to guide you to the correct street and block.

  • Address directly next to garage entrance: 2223 H St NW, Washington, DC 20052
  • Street Parking: Limited street parking is available at metered spots. Please be sure to obey all D.C. Residential Parking Permit and Zone regulations.

As you prepare for your departure from Washington, DC, and the Foggy Bottom neighborhood, your check-out location and directions will depend on the day and time you depart. At check-out, GW will:
  • Confirm there are no pending balances in your account
  • Confirm that you have left your room clean and empty
  • Require your Summer Housing access card to be returned
